Hindus Must be appreciated

Please do not use the words Hindu Terrorism or Hindu Terrorist for what is happening in India today. It is offensive to a majority of Hindus; they are good people like all other majorities in other faiths.

Yes, when the extremists from the Modi government or its affiliates tell you, that you the Christians and Muslims, will be eliminated from India by the year 2021, you are tempted to call it Hindu Terrorism.

But look beyond, the good Hindu majority is standing up for the human rights of all Indians, to them, religion is individual, and all are Indians.

Relentlessly, I have commented on the subject in the last few days at Whats-app, Facebook, and other social media, and chose to write a few full paragraphs on it.

A majority of good Hindus are standing up for the rights of Muslims, Christians, Dalits, Sikhs, and others than you can ever imagine. It is wrong to use the phrase Hindu Terrorism; it is offensive and adds to the aggravation.

Coming up: Muslims must be appreciated

Remember, the right people will always win; the extremists wither away. The song from the old movie Bombay to Goa is playing out in my ears... "Na Koi Raha hai, na Koi Rahega, mere desh azaad ho ke rahega.  Sikander bhi aaye, khalandar bhi aaye," to that I add, "Indira bhi aaye, Modi bhi aaya... no koi Raha hai no koi rahega."  No one is eternal, we have seen Alexander the creep come and go, we have seen others like him come and go, and we have seen Indira Gandhi come and go, and now, we will see Modi come and go - at the end of the day my nation will be free and people will breathe freedom.

Hinduism has always been a pluralistic tradition, and it has welcomed Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Baha'i, Zoroastrianism, and other traditions into its fold. All religions have thrived in India just like they do in the United States.

A majority of the people are innocent, and they believe that everyone is treated the same as they are. However, the fact is a white person cannot understand the tension a black man feels when gets in the car to drive. A Hindu in India cannot comprehend the apprehension a Dalit, Muslim or Christian feels "these" days, it is all a new phenomenon.

Since Modi Government took control, India has become one man’s rule, and the nation is going down the tube. Modi will last for this term, and then people will get rid of him as they did to Indira Gandhi when she became a one-person rule.

People can live with a bad economy, but they get sick of division and discord among fellow Indians.  The very purpose of government is to ensure all of the inhabitants of the land live freely and securely. Under Modi Raj, everything has gone wrong from the economy to disastrous demonetization, giving major contracts to his buddies like the Rafel, GST, Farmers suicides, Triple talaq and now the Kashmir blunder. How far is he going to sink India before we wake up?

The Sangh Parivar (more below) and its affiliates are calling for India to be free from Christians and Muslims in the year 2021. The choices are converting back to Hinduism, deport them (to where?) or kill them all.

The radicals among Hindus imagine a genocide in the likes of Holocaust.

It goes against the interest of America, which is seeking India to be a bulwark against Chinese/ Communist influence. It is also in the interest of America to secure her investments.

If we don't take the right steps now, America has a lot to lose, of course, India will be down the tubes.  It will be tied up for two decades to rescue India, as it did with the Jews from the Holocaust and Muslim from the Genocide in Kosovo.

So please do not use the phrases 'Hindu Terrorism' or Hinduism is a violent religion. Accuse the bad guys and not the faith. As a Muslim, I take severe offense if someone uses those phrases. In the end, only Hindus can save India and her people, all her people, including Muslims, Dalits, and Christians.

Let me give you the reasons for it.

There was a time when people did not hesitate blatantly using the phrases Muslim Terrorist or Islamic Terrorism. I have done my share of the work tirelessly fighting against using such terms and have won a concession from Fox News.

Thanks to Stuart Varney who chose to use the phrase Terrorists among Muslims, while Sean Hannity kept up his word until ISIS came into being. Most Americans now see the difference and use their words thoughtfully.

The word Islamist is used to refer to the extremists among Muslims, like the ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Brotherhood, Lashkar-Taioba, and their affiliates. None of their acts have a basis in Islam. Indeed, they are the ones who need to learn Islam. Check out the chapter ‘Source of extremism among Muslims’ in the newly released book American Muslim Agenda.

Similarly, the Neocons and the KKK cannot be called Christianity, nor the Hindutva can be labeled Hinduism. The right-wing Zionists are in the same boat. None of these are religious movements, even though they claim to carry a religious banner. All these are pseudo-political movements of insecure people seeking security in a vacuum. They are incredibly fanatic in their beliefs, and there is only one way for them.

Animals have resolved their conflicts by killing each other, whereas humans talk and find solutions. You can see that animals have horns, fangs, and paws for that purpose, and humans have a tongue to speak. However, the animal in these fringe group makes them resort to annihilating the others whom they perceive as a threat to their life.

The Hindus are reasonable people, and Hinduism is an open and accommodating religion, just like the others. The majority of Hindus want the good for all, and they believe the world is one family, and we must care for each other. I will defend all religions equally because religions are a good thing if we can get the extremist embrace their respective religion.

HINDUTVA IS NOT THE SAME AS HINDUISM

The word Hindutva has Hindu in its name, but it is not Hinduism from any stretch of the imagination. It is a political movement like Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Nazi, right-wing Zionism (not Zionism), Neocons, and others.

Once again, condemn the acts of RSS/ Sangh Parivar and not Hindus or Hinduism.

Hitler and Mussolini have inspired the fountainhead of the Sangh Parivar (RSS and its affiliates).

We are Our Nationhood Defined a book by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue MS Golwalkar.

“…To keep up the purity of the nation and its culture, Germany shocked the world by her purging the country of Semitic races – the Jews. National pride at its highest has been manifested here. Germany has also shown how well-nigh impossible it is for races and cultures, having differences going to the root, to be assimilated into one united whole, a good lesson for us in Hindustan to learn and profit by,”

The following paragraphs are from Haaretz Newspaper, please note a few spellings have been corrected, otherwise, the quotes are as is.

Mein Kampf, on display and on sale at Mumbai International Airport, December 2017, is a money-spinner for India's reputable publishers: Jaico alone has sold hundreds of thousands in the last decade Shrenik Rao / Madras Courier

Haaretz writes, “In 2004, when now-Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, school textbooks published by the Gujarat State Board portrayed Hitler as a hero and glorified fascism. The tenth-grade social studies textbook had chapters entitled "Hitler, the Supremo," and "Internal Achievements of Nazism." The section on the "Ideology of Nazism" reads:

"Hitler lent dignity and prestige to the German government. He adopted the policy of opposition towards the Jewish people and advocated the supremacy of the German race."

The tenth-grade social studies textbook, published by the state of Tamil Nadu in 2011 (with multiple revised editions until 2017) includes chapters glorifying Hitler, praising his "inspiring leadership," "achievements" and how the Nazis "glorified the German state" so, "to maintain a German race with Nordic elements, [Hitler] ordered the Jews to be persecuted."

"There is nothing wrong," he said in a chilling interview in 1993 with Time magazine, "if Muslims are treated as Jews were in Nazi Germany." Citing Hitler’s infamous polemic, he tried to apply fascist ideology in the Indian context. “If you take Mein Kampf and if you remove the word 'Jew' and put in the word 'Muslim,' that is what I believe in,” he said.
This fanatical admiration for Hitler and his genocidal agenda is not an aberration. It was and still is, endemic among the RSS leadership.

MS Golwalkar, another early RSS leader, also known as the "Guru of Hate," idolized Hitler’s Nazi cultural nationalism, and wanted to create a Hindu nation by adopting Hitler’s totalitarian and fascist pattern.

A growing contempt for India’s minorities manifests itself racist remarks passed with casual insouciance.

It’s not uncommon to hear remarks such as "These bloody Jews/Rothschilds/Soros control the world/financial system/whole of Hollywood." The number of Jews in India is very small. Yet there is, despite a long-held belief to the contrary, anti-Semitism. "These Christian missionaries deserve to be hanged – they are only interested in conversions" is another frequent comment. Only 2.4% of India’s population is Christian. Yet they are constantly attacked. When it comes to India's Muslims, the invective is multiplied exponentially.

As Khushwant Singh wrote in 2003, "The juggernaut of Hindu fundamentalism has emerged from the temple of intolerance, and is on its yatra [on the march]. ... The fascist agenda of Hindu fanatics is unlike anything we have experienced in our modern history."

Saffron Brotherhood - Hindutva and ISIS

It is amazing that all the right wing ideologies, be it Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jewish or Buddhist are the same. It is born out of insecurity, and with the fear of losing in a dialogue, all of them resort to violence, and claim the only way they will have peace is by annihilating the other.

Co-existence is Anathema to ISIS, Talibans, Brotherhood, Hindutva, RSS, VHP, Neocon Christians, and hard core Zionists. There is hope, if we all learn to see the flaws within and talk about it without fear, we can bring about a small change at least.
For every Muslim ass, there is a Hindu, Christian, Jewish and a Buddhist ass.

I would request the comment to keep to the topic and not jump off to other things.

Saffron Brotherhood

DC | Javed Anand | February 05, 2015, 00.02 am IST

In its most benevolent interpretation, Hindutva is the ideology that proclaims that India is, should be, a Hindu rashtra (nation) where the status of religious minorities should depend entirely on Hindu goodwill. Though not the same thing, Hindutva belongs to the same family as the ideology of an Islamic State wherein at its benevolent best religious minorities may be permitted (within strict limits) to do their own thing so long as they subserviently pay the jizyah tax.
Secularism as enshrined in the Indian Constitution stipulates the equality of all citizens: non-discrimination, equal opportunity, equality before law, equal protection of law. Not surprisingly, the adherents of Hindutva are inherently as hostile to the ideals of a secular state as the Islamists. The “Brotherhood in Saffron” is but an ideological close cousin of the “Muslim Brotherhood”.
The Sangh Parivar and the Shiv Sena are to India what the Jamaat-e-Islami, the Taliban and their ilk are to Pakistan. Though Pakistan has officially been an “Islamic Republic” virtually from the moment of its birth, it still is far from the ideal of an Islamic State where only the Sharia rules. So the Islamists are working overtime to realise their totalitarian fantasy.
Post-Partition India thankfully opted for a secular state. But since the mid-1980s, Hindutvawadis have worked zealously to steer the country’s polity in the direction of a “Hindu rashtra”. With a self-proclaimed “Hindu nationalist” now at the helm, why be surprised if they today feel emboldened to speak and act as never before?
On Republic Day, the information and broadcasting ministry issued an ad using a visual of the pre-1976 amendment Preamble to our Constitution in which the words “secular” and “socialist” were missing. In an article published in a national daily, Sudheendra Kulkarni staunchly questioned the motive behind this attempt to revert to the un-amended Preamble.
The significance of his comments lies in the fact that he was aide to the former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee (right man in the wrong party) and subsequently adviser to the former stalwart of the Bharatiya Janata Party, L.K. Advani (the original “Lauh Purush”, “Chota Sardar”). Mr Kulkarni argues that attempts to defend the controversial ad by the I&B minister of state, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and comments by the Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut have in effect brought Hindutva’s “hidden agenda” out in the open.
But contrary to what he thinks, the controversial ad is no “Freudian slip”. If anything it’s the latest instance of the Sangh Parivar’s Machiavellian mind at work. The Hindu rashtra ideal is by no means a “forbidden fantasy” lodged in the “unconscious” of its followers. It’s been out there in bold print in the writings of V.D. Savarkar and the most revered “guru” of the Sangh Parivar, M.S. Golwalkar for nearly a hundred years. It’s only the compulsion of democratic politics that forces the Sangh Parivar into keeping its real agenda hidden from the electorate.
The words “secular” and “socialist” are even today embedded in the party constitution which the BJP adopted for itself at its birth in 1980. But who does not know that the politically-expedient bid to loosen its ties with Hindutva was hastily abandoned the moment the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh hit back, switching its political support to the Congress in 1984 (following the assassination of Indira Gandhi and the massacre of Sikhs)?
Since the mid-1980s, the BJP has done everything possible to make secularism sound like a dirty word. Its former president, Mr Advani, shrewdly coined the term “pseudo-secularism” to demean and rubbish all secular politics as nothing but “appeasement of minorities”. The battle lines today are even more sharply defined: if you are not pro-Hindutva, you are “sickular”. There was no mention of the word secular in the BJP’s manifesto for the 2014 parliamentary elections.
The Republic Day ad is not the first attempt of the BJP and its parivar to banish the S-words from the country’s political vocabulary. At a Sadhu Sammelan following the demolition of the Babri mosque in December 1992, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Swami Vamdev had publicly demanded that the Indian Constitution be thrown into the dustbin of history, replaced by a Hindu Constitution. “Why only four, Hindu men should be free to marry 44 women if they so desired,” he had thundered.
During the BJP-led coalition’s 13-month tenure in power at the Centre, initiating a debate on a comprehensive review of the Indian Constitution in 1998, the then BJP vice-president and spokesperson K.L. Sharma had talked about deleting the words “secular” and “socialist” from the Preamble. Leaders from the Sangh Parivar have a long history of double-speak. In sharp contrast, the late Shiv Sena supremo, Bal Thackeray, never minced his words. In an interview to Shekhar Gupta for his Walk the Talk programme (in 2007), he more or less justified the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi by Nathuram Godse (“Godse thought that if this old man lives any longer then he will ruin the country… you have to think… why he decided to kill”); reiterated that what India really needed was a “benevolent dictatorship”; praised Adolf Hitler: “Hitler did very cruel and ugly things (to the Jews). But he was an artist, I love him (for that). He had the power to carry the whole nation, the mob with him. You have to think what magic he had. He was a miracle”.
That’s Thackeray, unadulterated. So different from the patriarchs of the Sangh Parivar who continue to revere “Guru Golwalkar” (the second and the longest serving sarsanghchalak of the RSS: 1940-1973), but find his admiration for Hitler and antipathy to India’s religious minorities so politically embarrassing in today’s context that they claim the book, We, or Our Nationhood Defined (1938), was written by someone else.
That’s why, to make sense of the Sangh Parivar’s frequent double-speak, it’s often helpful to listen to the Shiv Sena’s straight talk on the subject. Listen, therefore, to Mr Raut who spoke thus on the latest controversy: “Balasaheb Thackeray had been saying that India was divided on the lines of religion. Pakistan was created for Muslims, thus, what remains is a Hindu rashtra.
The country is of Hindus and belongs to them. People of all religions can live in India but Hindus will dominate.” India, he insisted, was never secular. Perhaps we should be grateful that no one, as yet, has demanded the deletion of the word “democratic” from the Preamble, and its replacement with the word “Hindu” to leave us with just “Sovereign Hindu Republic”.

Severe Warning to Terrorists - the big red poster

CLICK ON THE RED POSTER TO VIEW IN FULL SIZE
The acronyms SOB, AH, BS and others are certainly uncouth, but they effectively communicate a purposeful message, hence I made that choice.  The Warning poster to Terrorist is a double edged sword and is at the bottom - the big red poster.

The following comments have been received against the poster below.

  1. sometimes your brain goes on strike I guess”,
  2. “Don’t jeopardize”
  3. “Who gave you the authority to represent Muslims?”
  4.  “Not appropriate and safe for you in today's hostile environment.”
  5.  “this is a mindless drivel”
  6. “You are not qualified to speak for Islam”
  7.  “Do you think your severe warning will have any darn effect on these fanatics”
  8. I second it”
  9. “it is appropriate response”.

In a learning environment, good thoughts and concrete ideas are developed with criticism and feedback; here is why this kind of response is needed.

  1. Don't bark at the religion for the acts of bad guys. Punishment is set for bad acts, to restore the trust in a given society. When a Rapist is running around in a neighborhood, everyone is apprehensive, but when the guy is caught and nailed, peace of mind is restored in the neighborhood. Instead of catching the guy, if we blame his raising, his family, his religion, his race or nation, and his imam, rabbi, pastor or pundit – we will not restore peace. I intend to aggressively communicate this idea, the right idea, and intend to speak at various law enforcement agencies as well as religious institutions.
  2. The criminal ought to know that he will be punished; we will not allow the poor alibi of religion, not at all. The Law enforcement and the media people also need to get this in their heads, the purpose of investigations and chasing the bad guys is to restore trust and not to aggravate by barking at a non-entity like Religion. The more you bark at criminal’s religion, race or ethnicity, the worse it gets. You cannot shoot, kill, hang, beat or bury the religion, then why bark at it?

  3. 72 Virgins are promised. Both the terrorists and the communicators of the problem (Media and Politicians) to the world at large have gotten it wrong. The poor guy needs to be outraged at the recruiters that he was duped, and there are no 72 virgins waiting for him, instead the SOB will rot in Jail if we Americans get him, or killed mercilessly if he is caught by the opposite party. No Geneva conventions will be observed by either the terrorist or his chasers.  The Media needs to stop the BS of propagating the falsity with nothing to back up in the Qur'an.

  4. Both the criminal and the law enforcement (coupled with the media and politicians) must be aware that it is the Sin, and not the sinner we are after. The clarity should prevent us from being unjust.  We should not be abusive in disciplining or punishing the wrong doer. As a civil society, we cannot become the very evil we want to eradicate.

  5. We should seek the criminal to lead us to the source of recruiting material and the recruiters by mitigating his punishment.
  6. The Challenge to “read the right translation/interpretation” of Qur'an applies to both the criminal and the law enforcement. I am certain, the criminal will become a genuine repenter, and the law enforcement will not buy or propagate the dished out non-sense in the market or bark irrelevantly.

This is the right time to forge peace to the society in general, and American society in particular by boldly and loudly getting people to get the message, and i.e.,

I am being assertive, never has any Muslim or other communicated this so clearly and it is time we do that, thank God for the opportunities he has blessed us with to find solutions.   If I don't, no one will speak, and I sincerely hope many of us to speak up, do it on your own or join me.

It is time we separate the evil from good.

Bottom line is to free Islam and Muslims from the stupid stereotyping, and focus on punishing the bad guys and restoring trust in the society.

You SOB, you are the damned murderer, you messed up the peace, and your ass will nailed big time.

Don’t give me the BS about your job, childhood, parents, kids, siblings, spouse, imam, rabbi, pastor or the pundit. You did it and you'll pay for it.

I am not stupid to buy in your argument that your religion made you do that, and then bark at the religion endlessly. AH, you are the bad guy and you are going to pay for it. I am here to restore justice in the society and not be detracted and scream at your religion like a stupid ass. I can hang you, shoot you, bury you and beat you up to restore justice and trust in the society, and that is my goal

Note: Mr. Terrorist, I don't condemn you, it is your sin I condemn. If you claim to be a Muslim, just remember, those guys who recruited you, and cheated you with  false promises of Hoories and virgins in paradise were dead wrong. There is no such thing nor is it mentioned in Qur'an, instead you will rot in jail for life. Would you turn in your recruiters for cheating you? Would you read the correct translations of Qur'an, we might minimize your sentence?

This should be the attitude of Law enforcement
